Bike with a truck horn

Adding a truck horn to a bike might sound like a crazy idea. But imagine getting up one morning and thinking about those big horns trucks have on their roofs. And your bike. Now combining both thoughts, you get a bike with an overpowered horn. How cool!

The idea

I wanted to build something that sounded so loud, that you didn't think a small bike was coming. People in front me should make space in an instant. I searched Ebay for truck horns and there were many options, from siren like to double horns. My choice was the one below, because it advertised a "150DB Super Loud" sound. (Which i was already sure it didn't meet.)

Current progress

I tested the horn. It was louder than i thought. On my first ride i drove by some chickens. Once i honked it looked like they were pushed into the fence by a magical force. Poor Chickens :(

What is left to do:

• A better 3d printed mount for the horn and its compressor
• Check with the laws if mounting such a big horn to a bike is even legal
• Take the bike to school?

It's still just a prototype for now, but that's the kind of crazy idea that i enjoy building.
